My name is Michał Truposz. I paint people most folks walk past without a second glance - homeless, invisible, forgotten. I’m not here to sell hope. I’m here to show you what’s really out there.
My work isn’t about pretty stories or fixing the world. It’s about presence. Real faces. Real stories. Struggle, survival, the kind of beauty that’s uncomfortable to look at. I paint because it hurts not to.
Sometimes I give part of the sale back to the person in the painting - if I can find them again. Sometimes they vanish. Just like in real life. This work is heavy, but it keeps me grounded. Keeps me honest.
I don’t care about fitting into the art world. I care about truth. If my paintings make you stop and really see someone you’d normally ignore, then I’ve done my job.
